BENNETT, LLOYD ENSLIE - 67, of Advocate Harbour, Cumberland County died Sunday, September 9, 2001 at Bayview Memorial Health Centre, Advocate Harbour. Born in Advocate Harbour, he was the son of the late Charles and Beatrice (Morris) Bennett. He was employed with the Department of Natural Resources for 16 years tending the New Yarmouth Fire Tower retiring in 1999. He was also employed with Parrsboro Metal Fabricators for 5 years and worked as a mechanic at Murphy's Gararge in Advocate Harbour for 20 years. He is survived by his first wife, the former Berna Field, Advocate Harbour; his second wife, the former Virginia (Morine) Roche; three daughters, Doris Stronge, and her husband, James, Spencer's Island; Bonnie Bennett, and her companion, David Rafuse, Advocate Harbour; Coralee MacGillivary, and her husband, Scott, Advocate Harbour; sons, Alexander, and his wife, Patricia, Cornwall, Ont.; Glen, and his wife Debbie, Dartmouth; a sister, Norma Clarke, Advocate Harbour; step-daughters, Marie Hatfield, and her husband, Stewart, Fraserville; Christine Foster, and her husband, Curtis, Kentville; step-sons, Raymond Roche, and his wife, Darlene, Kingston, NS; Paul Roche, and his companion, Fern, Kentville; 6 grandchildren, Melissa, Evelyn, Myles, Marc, Ryan, Cory; 6 step-grandchildren, Everett, Lisa, Jessica, Melissa, Amanda, Christine; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Glenford in infancy; sisters, Burnice, Mildred, Maurita, Ruby; brothers, LeRoy, Reginald, Darrell, Charles. Visitation was held 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Advocate United Church, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Jean Simms-Mills officiating. Burial in the Advocate Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Bayview Memorial Health Centre Foundation, Advocate Harbour.
