Graham, C. Irene - 88, of Diligent River, Cumberland County passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at Cumberland Regional Health Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Saskatchewan, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Harvey) Gasser. Irene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family. Irene and her husband celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past November. She was a member of the Diligent River Baptist Church, the Parrsboro Mission Society and enjoyed attending various social events in the community. Everyone who knew her, loved her! She is survived by her husband, Clayton; a daughter, Vivian King, Edmonton, AB; a son, Robert Graham (Susan), Diligent River; grandchildren, David King (Kim), Calgary, AB; Stefanie Cunha (Joao), Edmonton, AB; Rodney Graham, Dartmouth; Deborah Surette (Darren), Berwick; Jeffrey Graham, Parrsboro; Andrew Graham, Halifax; three great grandchildren, Malcolm and Avery Surette; Sarah King; a sister-in-law, Lauretta Barteaux (Alton), Middleton; brother-in-law, Harris Graham, Diligent River; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Miles Olson (Beulah), Charles Olson and Gilmore Olson; sister-in-law, Mary Graham; son-in-law, Roger King. Visitation 1-2 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2005 at the Diligent River Baptist Church, where funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., Rev. Greg Doyle officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. A reception will follow in the Diligent River Community Centre. Memorial donations may be made to Diligent River Baptist Church.
