PHILLIPS, Kevin Bartlett Chester – The family of Kevin Phillips is saddened to announce his death on Friday, November 26, 2010 at home, age 55. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Rupert and Mary (Short) Phillips. Kevin trained as a machinist and was proud of his abilities in this field. He worked in Alberta, Ontario and Nova Scotia, including his most recent job in Advocate which he left due to poor health several years ago. He was avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens. He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Price (Jason), Victoria, B.C., her mother, Barb Rector, Edmonton, Alta; companion, Rozelle Morris, Parrsboro, their son, Anthony “Tony” Morris, Sackville, N.B.; sisters, Saundra Spence (George), Parrsboro; Teresa "Terry" Kaye-Phillips (Stephen Millen), Waterloo, Ont.; Kimberley Phillips, Amherst; a brother, Kendall (Patrick Burke), Mississauga, Ont.; several nieces and nephews, including Tammy Rector whom he relied on for the past few months. He was predeceased by a sister, Lyndis (2003); a brother, Barrington in infancy; a nephew, Craig Bartlett. A gathering of family and friends will be held 3 p.m. Saturday [December 4, 2010] at the Parrsboro Legion Hall. Memorial donations may be made to South Cumberland Community Care Centre Foundation.
