Skidmore, Wayne F. – Age 77. It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Skidmore of Noonan, N.B., and formerly of Parrsboro, announce his passing on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Parrsboro, he was the son of the late Blair and Louise (Tucker) Skidmore. Wayne enjoyed his ham radio, wood working shop and most of all his winters in Florida. Wayne is survived by a daughter, Donna Van der Zweep (Pierre); a son, David Doncaster (Diana); step-children, Susan and Sarah Symons; and cherished grandchildren, Braydon, Brittany, Foster, Jacob, Aidan and Helen; sister, Sharron O'Brien; brother, Darrell (Heather); nieces and nephews, Lynn, Dawn and Sheldon. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Penny Staebler; a sister, Kathy Skidmore. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Burial will follow in the Parrsboro Baptist Cemetery. Also, a memorial service (followed by words of reflection) will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 7 p.m. at McAdam’s Funeral Home, Fredericton. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
He will be sadly missed by all.
