Currie, Mary P. - Age 58, of St. Stephen, NB and
formerly of Parrsboro passed away suddenly on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the
Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen. Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of
the late Robert “Mel” and Pauline (Copp) Currie. Mary is survived by her
companion, Merton Lewis; daughters, Crystal Wood (Seth), Bangor, Maine; Melissa,
Parrsboro; Cindy (Adam), Springhill; sons, Andrew (Lisa-Marie), Moncton; Charles
(Amber), Ward’s Brook; siblings, Edna Strong (Gordon), Lynn Forbes (Donald), all
of Parrsboro; Dale Currie (Peter), Eastern Passage; Bill Copp, Truro; Neil, Five
Islands; Dean (Ruth), Truro; an uncle, Boyd, Vanderhoof, BC; grandchildren,
Matthew, Gavin, Saydee, Nathaniel, Isaiah, Connor, Mikaila, Isabella, Chloe,
Zoe, Bryce, Anaken, Bentlea, Benjamin, William; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday [April 14, 2016] at Smith’s Funeral Home,
Parrsboro, where funeral service will be held on Friday [April 15, 2016] at 2
p.m., Rev. Emmanuel Mutale officiating. Burial in the Advocate Cemetery at a
later date. Memorial donations may be made to Kidney Foundation of Canada.
