LeBlanc, Mildred E. 'Millie' – Age 83, of Lower Five Islands passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan surrounded by family. Born in Five Islands, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Evelyn H. (Eagles) Phinney. She is survived by her husband, Adrien; daughters, Laureen Hutt (Larry), St. Margaret's Bay; Yvette Yorke (Doug), Five Islands; Yvonne Creelman (Craig), Bass River; a son, Andy LeBlanc (Kelly), Five Islands; sister, Inez Weir (Ellis), Truro; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lucille Paul in 2012; a son in infancy; sisters, Vera Yorke, Doris Yorke, Audrey MacKenzie; brothers, Clinton Phinney and Eldon Phinney. Visitation will be held 6-8 pm on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the Peniel United Church, Five Islands, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Monday [May 15, 2017], Rev. Florence Antle-Brison and Pastor Doug Lake officiating. Reception to follow in the vestry of Peniel United Church. Burial in the Lower Five Islands Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
