Ada P. Delouchery

Delouchery, Ada P. – Age, 97, of Parrsboro passed away peacefully on Friday, December 25, 2020 at the South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Fox River, she was the youngest child of the late Charles and Eva (Parsons) Carey. Ada was predeceased by her husband, Cyril, the love of her life; her sister, Neta (Morton); brother, Layton Carey; a daughter, Marsha Day. She is survived by daughters, Nayda Delouchery, Parrsboro; Charlene Roberts (Paul), Kitchener, Ont.; Grandma to David Delouchery (Nadine) and Tara Simms (Chris), of New Hamburg, Ont.; Joe Day (Kristen) and Emma Day-Busch (Graham), Victoria, B.C.; Great-Grandma to Rachel, Vivian, Bethany, Cicely, James, Henry and Piper. Ada was owner of Delouchery Boutique, of Halifax (in the late 60's), later evolving into Delouchery Antiques and Old Books, eventually relocating to Parrsboro. She was a past member of Parrsboro Historical Society and the Parrsboro Art Guild. The family would like to thank the many nurses and support staff for their kindness, caring and patience involved in their mother's care. A graveside memorial service will be held 1 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the Parrsboro Baptist Cemetery, Pastor David Forbes officiating. All are welcome! Covid-19 precautionary measures will be necessary (physical distancing and masks required). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Recreation Program of South Cumberland Community Care Centre Foundation, Parrsboro.
