Anderson, Elizabeth A. 'Betty' – It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Anderson announces her passing on Thursday, July 1, 2021 after a brief illness. Betty was a resident of High-Crest Long Term Care Facility in Springhill for many years. She died peacefully in the Palliative Care Unit at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Betty will be sadly missed by her family and friends, and lovingly remembered for her sense of humour, beautiful smile and laugh. She was a generous, kind and happy person who loved to travel and spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother who always made sure her children were taken care of and knew they were loved. Betty is survived by her six children, Roger Anderson (Krystal), Thomas “Tom” Anderson, Darren Anderson, all of Ontario; Elaine Hale (Shawn), Truro; Tracy Leights (Timmy); David Anderson (Trudy), both of Parrsboro; 7 grandchildren and a great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas “Tom” Anderson; her parents, Arthur and Jessie Sharpe; a brother, David Sharpe and a granddaughter, Shaunticy Smith. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at High Crest and the Palliative Care team of the Cumberland Health Centre for the care and compassion they provided for Betty. Due to the current COVID 19 restrictions on travel from outside the region, a public ‘Celebration of Life’ service will be announced for a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
