Tanner, Gerald F. – Age 70, of Truro, and formerly of Parrsboro and Shubenacadie passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at The Mira, Truro. Born in Shubenacadie, he was a son of the late Frank and Christina (Simm) Tanner. Gerald is survived by a step-daughter, Elizabeth Dillman (Leonard), Enfield; step-sons, Dan West (Anna Dale), Rothesay, N.B.; Robert Dunn, Calgary; Steven West (Michelle), Mount Uniacke; Ron McKay (Christine), Victoria, B.C.; sisters, Lois Cooke, Brookfield; Christine Hennigar, Sandra Meade, Lisa Tanner; brothers, Colin, Frank, Laurie, all of British Columbia; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Diana Jewers; a daughter, Jerry-Ann Gilbert; a brother, Charles. A graveside service will be held in Parrsboro at a later date - details to follow. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
