J. Gary Goodwin

Goodwin, J. Gary – Age 74, of Parrsboro and formerly of Leamington passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro with family by his side. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late John and Laura (Brown) Goodwin. He is survived by his partner, Marlene Patterson-Yorke; his children, Kimberly “Kimmie” Bowser (Danny), Upper Cape, N.B.; Robb Brown (Barbie), Grande-Digue, N.B.; grandchildren, Jordan, Jaden, Jensen, Janaea; a sister, Sandra Hunter (Bill), Leamington; several nieces and nephews. Also, loved by Marlene’s children and grandchildren, Martina, Dan, Cara and Casey. He was predeceased by his wife, Sharon; sisters, Firth, Gail; brothers, Arnold, Doug and Bill. Funeral service will be held 2pm on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Ruth Gamble, DLM officiating. Burial to follow in the Southampton Cemetery. In consideration of all in attendance, the family respectfully request that masks be worn during the funeral and graveside services. Memorial donations may be made to the Southampton Cemetery or to a charity of choice.
