1937 - 2022
Lewis (MacBurnie) (Paul), Leora E. – Age 85, of Amherst,
formerly of Debert and Five Islands passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August
23, 2022 at Northumberland Hall (Shannex) in Amherst. Born in River Hebert, she
was a daughter of the late Alfred and Myrtle (Lockhart) MacBurnie. She is
survived by a daughter, Janelle Paul (Robert), Calgary; Scott Paul (Kathy), East
Mapleton; brothers, Glenford (Maxine), Quesnel, BC; Ronald (Beth), Parrsboro; 7
grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth C. Paul; her second husband, Royal
Lewis; a son, Kenneth B. Paul; sisters, Joyce and Francis; a brother, Roland.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 2pm in
Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Pastor David Forbes officiating. Burial to
follow in the Lower Five Islands Cemetery. Memorial donations may be
made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to a charity of
choice.
