Elliott, Carl Douglas – Age 93, of Economy passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7, 2022 in Debert Court. Born at Pleasant Hills, Col. Co., he was a son of the late Raymond and Alice (Linkletter) Elliott. He is survived by a daughter, Glenda Huggett, Upper Economy; sons, William ‘Bill’ (Natalie), Little Bass River; Michael ‘Mike’ (Roda), Bass River; sisters, Estella Forbes, Amherst; Olive Lorette, Parrsboro; Audrey Fitzpatrick, Bay Roberts, Nfld.; Gloria Aitken (Robert), Burlington, Ont.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, John (Orla) Huggett, Chris Huggett, Karie (Owen) Huggett MacMullin, Carl William Elliott and Caden John Elliott. Also, missed and cherished by his great grandchildren, Niamh, Ciaran, Ronan, Luke and Reed; four step-grandchildren, Geniveve, Patrick, Nadia and Melanie; eleven step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret ‘Jean’ (Hegan) Elliott; sisters, Irene Webb, Doris Chisholm; brothers, Merile, Percy, Gerald. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the Economy United Church, Gary Elliott officiating. Reception to follow at the Economy Recreation Centre. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Debert Court for the kindness shown to our father during his stay with them. Memorial donations in Carl’s memory to the Cobequid Pastoral Charge.
