Benjamin, Hollie P. - Age 74, of Parrsboro passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2022 at home. Born in Parrsboro, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Gertrude (Bowden) Benjamin. Hollie worked with Department of Lands & Forests (now known as Natural Resources) for 38 years retiring in 2002. He was a life member of the Parrsboro Volunteer Fire Department, serving 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Doris (McCulley) Benjamin; a daughter, Amanda (Travis), Parrsboro; a son, Rodney (Kelly), Springhill; grandchildren, Alex (Emily), Anthony, Kolby (Savannah), Jordan (Dylan); great granddaughter, Lylah; sisters, Alta Fife, West Brook; Hilda Tibbetts, Truro; Carolyn MacDonald (Archie), Sydney; Brenda Bowden (Wyman), Fox River; brothers, Elson, Kentville; Aubrey, Halifax; numerous nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his loyal canine companion, Misty. He was predeceased by a sister, Beverley; a brother, William. Funeral service will be held 2 pm on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Pastor David Forbes officiating. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice.
