Best, A. Elizabeth 'Liz' – Age 83, of Greenhill passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born at West Bay (near Parrsboro), she was a daughter of the late Trueman and Grace (Aylward) McCormick. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; daughter, Carolyn Works (Raymond), Truro Heights; a son, Walter (Mary), Elliot Lake, Ont.; a sister, Jean Hurley (Gary), Parrsboro; grandchildren, Walter Works (Blaise), Burnaby, BC; Brad Works (Judy), Summerside, PEI; three great-grandchildren, Lukas Works, Burnaby, BC; Mason Works, Summerside, PEI; Avery Works, Summerside, PEI; sisters-in-law, Gwen McCormick, Maccan; Donna Best, Parrsboro; Barbara Morrison, Economy; brothers-in law, Arthur 'Billy' Best (Dorothy), Greenhill; Johnny Best (Gale), Parrsboro; foster brothers-in-law, Dennis (Lucille), Dave and Ronnie; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Roger in infancy; her brother, Stanley; brothers-in-law, Hardy Best and Gardiner Morrison; niece, Margo Anderson; nephew, Kevin Hurley. In keeping with Elizabeth’s wishes, a private family service will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be to a charity of choice.
