Richard L. Cole

Cole, Richard L. – 82, of Advocate Harbour passed away peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2023 at home. Born in New Salem, he was a son of the late Clarence and Mary (Rector) Cole. Richard served with the Canadian Armed Forces as a mechanic (RCEME) for 33 years retiring to Advocate Harbour in 1990. He is survived by his wife, Hazel (Corbin) Cole; a daughter, Lisa Cole, Advocate Harbour; five grandchildren, Meagan, Shaun, Ashley, Kristian, Sarah; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Berna Robinson, Halifax; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Collins; a son, Charles, a great grandson, Cael; a sister, Joyce Moorehouse; brothers, Walton and Alfred. A private family service will be held in the Advocate Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to the Advocate Volunteer Fire Department or to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Montreal.
