Cruickshank, Annie M. - Age 89, of Moose River, Cumberland County passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at her home in Moose River, with her family by her side. Born in Lower Five Islands, she was a daughter of the late James Garfield and Cora Electa (Webb) Adams. Annie was a member of Legion Branch #45, Parrsboro for more than 45 years, serving as Secretary/Treasurer for 25 of those years. She was involved in the organization of Bingo, assisted with the Cadet program, and the collecting of donations for the Remembrance Day services. Annie worked at Anne’s Nursing Home in Parrsboro, for the local Co-op and later worked with her daughter Pearl at the Double ‘A’ Takeout. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Fraser (Larry), Moose River; sons, Gerald Jr. (Jenny), Oshawa, Ont.; Gregory (Heather), Amherst; James, Parrsboro; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Pearl; a son, Jeffery; a grandson, Adam; a great-granddaughter, Brooklynn; sisters, Mary, Julia, Ethel, Eva; brothers, James, Banford, Charles, John, Fraser, Frank, Albert. She was the last surviving family member of all her siblings. In keeping with Annie’s wishes, a private family graveside service will he held in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Parrsboro at a later date. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society of the ALS Society of Canada.
