Robert L. Graham
1949 - 2024

GRAHAM, Robert L. - Age 75, of Diligent River, passed
away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Cumberland Regional Health Care
Centre, Amherst with his family close by. Born in Parrsboro on January
4, 1949, he was the son of the late Clayton and Irene (Gasser) Graham.
Robert, known as a man of many trades, lived his life to the fullest.
Throughout his earlier years he enjoyed every opportunity to go on
adventures with friends, and he loved spending time golfing, hunting,
fishing, boating and loved driving anything that had a motor. Later in
his life he could often be found tinkering in his garage, driving his
tractor, splitting wood or checking the stock market. He was a skilled
tradesman and entrepreneur operating his own cement business for many
years while also working in the manufacturing and construction trades.
When he wasn’t working, he would often keep busy using his tractor,
backhoe or dump truck and loved helping out anyone in the community
whenever they needed a hand. Even though he was usually a man of few
words, and he didn’t often wear his heart on his sleeve, he loved his
family deeply and enjoyed sharing with others how proud he was of his
children and grandchildren. Robert will be deeply missed by his wife,
Susan (DeWolfe) of 56 years; along with his children, Debbie Surette
(Darren), Bridgewater; Rodney (Angela), Lawrencetown; Jeff (Kristen),
Amherst; Andrew (Amie), Parrsboro; his sister, Vivian King, Edmonton,
AB; nephew, David King, Calgary; niece, Stephanie (Jaoa) Cunha,
Edmonton; and his grandchildren, Malcolm, Avery, Summer, Layla and
Everly. In keeping with his wishes, a private family gathering will be
held at a date to be determined. Memorial donations can be made to a
bursary to be established and given to a student pursuing post-secondary
education in the field of trades (contact Smith's Funeral Home during
regualar business hours for specifics on how to make a donation).
