Edwin B. Rafuse
1932 - 2025

Rafuse, Edwin B. – Age 92, of Advocate Harbour passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2025 at the South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Advocate Harbour, he was a son of the late Rufus and Marjorie (Morris) Rafuse. Edwin served 23 years with the Canadian Armed Forces with the Royal Canadian Engineers and was a veteran of the Korean War. He later worked many years with Rafe’s Construction until his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Frances (Leman) Rafuse; daughters, Barbara, Amherst; Rose Gauthier (Kenneth), Shubenacadie; sons, James, St. John’s, Nfld.; Brian (Rebekah), Debert; a sister, Delma Morris (Wesley Spicer), West Brook; a brother, Norman (Darlene), Parrsboro; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Helena and Laura in infancy; brothers, Lawrence, Eric and Owen. A ‘Celebration of Life’ will take place on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 2-4 pm at the Advocate Fire Hall. All are welcome! Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
