David E. Sellons

Sellons, D. Edward - 51, of Western Avenue, Parrsboro died Saturday, February 13, 1999 at Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Parrsboro, he was the son of the late Edward Sollons and Rebecca (Phinney) Sellons, Parrsboro. He worked at the Parrsboro Co-op for 30 years. He served with the Parrsboro Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years and was a past member of the Parrsboro Citizen Band, the Parrsboro Curling Club and the Parrsboro Golf Club. In 1984 his team won the Nova Scotia Firefighters Curling Championship. He was an avid card player. He is survived by his wife, the former Debra Willigar; three daughters, Heather, Jennifer, Brittany, all at home; two sisters, Linda (Mrs. John Meikle), Ottawa, Ont.; Lorene (Mrs. Stephen McGee), Ottawa, Ont.; one brother, Gordon, Halifax; several nieces and nephews. Funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. George's Anglican Church, Parrsboro, Rev. Robert Richmond officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. George's Anglican Church or to a charity of choice.
